Concrete house in Madrid, Spain by A-cero

The concrete finish still shows marks left by formwork.

This in a way shows the "inner" architecture, not covered by second rate finishes or hiding buildings behind accepted ways of completing projects. and thus unfinished concrete becomes a finish in itself.

Montecito Residence by Olson Sundberg

Villa seems to protrude from the hill top. from the other end the roof of the villa blends with the landscape and continues to the end of the building forming a rooftop garden. Due to the gale force winds and harsh weather conditions the rugged concrete provides not only shelter physically but mentally for occupants.
